Ikaia is generally a friendly, polite and affable sort of person who cares deeply for those around him and under his care. He is a driven individual who is willing to sacrifice himself in order to protect a patient. Although, Ikaia does have a nervous streak to him.

Cara Tenors was born aboard the USS ''Musashi'', a {{c|Galaxy}} starship, to her loving parents Jolana and Tendall. Growing up onboard the ''Musashi'' until her father's retirement from Starfleet, Cara was always excited to eventually join Starfleet one day. Proceeding through most of her education rather quiet and reserved, just going through the motions until she got to her secondary schooling. Here Cara would grow out of her shell and start to explore more into who she really wanted to be.
Halfway through her final year of schooling, Cara was accepted into Starfleet Academy as an undeclared major. Deciding the engineering courses weren't worth the Operations major, Cara would decide on a Sciences Major with a Minor in Security at the end of year 2. By the end of her time at the Academy Cara would be accepted into the Trill Initiate Program with special exceptions to attend the initiate program before attending her cadet cruise. The Trill Initiate Program pushed Cara to her absolute limit, but she was one of the 5% who actually passed. After another few months on Trill, Cara would receive the Veers Symbiont, taking another three to get used to having a Trill Symbiont and their memories as part of herself. Once deemed fit by the Symbiosis Committee, Cara would receive her cadet cruise duty orders to Starbase 118 and the {{USS|Centris|A}}.

Nadeshiko was first activated as a remnant of the [[Epsilon Program]] in SD2392, 7 years after the synth ban put into place as a result of the attack on Mars. At the time, Starfleet Science argued that stricter programming limitations were put on the few remaining AI matricies, and that beings such as the Doctor had proven that self-aware AI could be trusted to not turn murderous. In 239210, she was deactivated as the anti-synth faction in SF Command, led by then-Commodore Oh managed to shut the revised project down, and her body was disassembled. Her matrix was successfully saved, but consigned to deep storage.
In late 2399, when the origin of the attack was discovered, the United Federation of Planets revoked it’s internal treaty, and a new body was assembled, as a new prototype of the Coppelius androids, this time built by the Daystrom Institute. While Nadeshiko was successfully activated, her twin Sakura was not. As her AI was originally inclined towards serving as an AI of a starship, there were immediate problems with integrating her matrix with the new body, and even after they resolved, the future of the Epsilon Program seemed to be sealed. However, as there was still some alarm on Earth and Mars, Nadeshiko asked if she could be sent to another installation to work as a science analyst. Correspondingly, she was dispatched as a member of Daystrom under a program from Starfleet Science, and sent to Amity Outpost.
