Jenna grew up in an orphanage, never met her parents and does still not know their whereabouts. Having a difficult time growing up, she learned that she had to forge her own destiny. After school, she learned to live by her wit with several short term jobs. One of those was with the Trill Symbiosis Commission that sparked her wish of being joined one day. She spent her off time studied towards that goal, but was not granted her wish during several attempts. | |||
During her studies she discovered space travel being one of her passions and decided to take the courage to apply to Starfleet Academy. While she was on the top of her class when it came to piloting and helm control, her remaining grades were only mediocre and her conduct record already had some scratches. Finding one of her teachers, who was particularly fond of her skills, it became possible for her to apply for some time aboard a ship to get more experience during the fourth year of Academy. | |||
