However, the other race of natives, the Mekra'fari, are none too happy with their oppression by the Fela'doni. While exploring planetside, Lael and her team are captured. The later arrival of House Barahn with an invasion force places Lael and her team in a difficult position, leading them to fight alongside the Mekra'fari in what seems to be a hopeless battle to protect their world and to keep their freedom.
