====[[Come_What_May_(Resolution)|The Saural Inquisition]]====
*'''''Stardate 239712 – 239802'''''
The crew of the Resolution is informed that the freighter Andalucia has gone missing. When entering the Celendi Nebula after finding a faint energy trail from the freighter, the Resolution is pulled into a gravimetric distortion. It quickly becomes apparent that this was the fate of the Andalucia as well and they quickly discover they have jumped thousands of years into the future.
Addison led an away team to Saural V on a covert mission to recover the Andalucia's crew, but upon the team's discovery, that effort turned into an assault on the compound where they were being held. After being rescued by the Resolution, MacKenzie learned of Captain Nicholotti's incapacity, assumes command, and sets a course for Vulcan where Nicholotti can receive treatment.
====[[Come_What_May_(Resolution)|The Ties That Bind]]====
*'''''Stardate 239802.28 – 239804.07'''''
With Captain Nicholotti grounded by Starfleet Medical and Addison MacKenzie as Acting Captain, the crew of the USS Resolution is sent Vionus IV to negotiate claim to the planet between the Thama, a people of science and exploration, and the Nascaik, who want rights to the planet for mining related to their military agenda.
Commander MacKenzie worked with Counselor Meidra Sirin and Ensign Etan Iljor to determine a plan of action and the motivations of the Thama and Nascaik while other members of the crew worked to make modifications to the Resolution to accommodate the other races. After both delegations arrive, MacKenzie led the mediation, which was interrupted when the Thama aide, Ashal Koas, detonated an explosive device that crippled the Resolution and allowed Koas to kidnap the Nascaik delegate, Rossk Ar-Dev.
The Resolution pursued Koas to the lost colony of Aspiration where MacKenzie ordered a team to retrieve Ar-Dev. While they were able to successfully retrieve Ar-Dev, they were not able to apprehend Koas before she detonated a bomb.
After Ar-Dev returned to the Resolution, the true motivations for each races' plans were revealed, particularly when it was discovered that the Nascaik intended to use the materials extracted from the planet to genetically modify their superior third gender: hypermales. Addison is able to get both sides to agree to a joint program for research into the plights of both of their worlds with a non-aggression agreement from the Nascaik and a transitional offering of two worlds taken by them from the Thama, back to the original settlers.
