Dalissa was born the eldest daughter of two to Alesand and Helani Alenari. As a child, she was enamored by the stars. She often referred to them as the lights of The Artist. Often was the night she would find herself outside staring up at the night sky and dreaming of sailing through the heavens. However, few of her people ever left the planet, and following the Cardassian invasion, this number dwindled even further. Instead,  as a devout follower of her goddess, Dalissa joined the Sisterhood of Light which devoted itself to the works of The Artist. She was restless, however, and after several years there, she would be expelled for not conforming to their ideals. Still possessed of a love of the stars, Dalissa left home for the Krzexxi capitol fo Toprera where she hoped to join the Krzexxi School of Science and Engineering. But once more, her plans were diverted as she began to be exposed to other cultures from off-worlders and it wasn’t long before she met a Starfleet officer who convinced her to join. After a year of processing paperwork with the Rodulan government and the rigorous testing of the Starfleet entrance exams, Dalissa found herself boarding a shuttle for a Starfleet vessel that was in the nearby area and would convey her to Earth. Four years later, she is now ready to graduate and just has to get past that last obstacle: The final exam!

Dalissa was born the eldest daughter of two to Alesand and Helani Alenari. As a child, she was always very inquisitive and wondered about the workings of things and why this was the way it was, and what made that thing so unique. She would often take things apart just to see what made them work and often she would see how she could try and improve them. Her father always joked that she should have been born a Krzexxi rather than a Tikani, so inquisitive was her mind. However, as a devout follower of her goddess, Dalissa joined the Sisterhood of Light which devoted itself to the works of The Artist. She was restless, however, and after several years there, she would be expelled for not conforming to their ideals. Instead of returning home, Dalissa applied to a school of science in the Krzexxi capitol of Toprera, and while there, she was exposed to all sorts of alien cultures that she had only heard of before. Becoming quite fascinated with these other races, quite contrary to typical Rodulan nature, she soon began a personal study of them. And that was how she met the Starfleet officer who would eventually recruit her to join.
