Artinus was part of the defense working group for the expedition to Safe Harbour. He was the one who discovered the drill on the Ya-Grhan vessel. Modifying his holodeck strategic simulation for space combat, he guided the other members of the team through several simulations to help them determine the right strategy. Upon arrival at Safe Harbour, Ensign Serinus was selected as a member of the away team to go on the diplomatic mission to the ESPers on the planet. While the away team was escorting the locals to the nearby cave system, he intercepted a strange panther-like creature with a stringer on it's tail. He kicked it in the jaw, before the ESPers used their powers to hurdle it into the air, and make it kill itself with repeated stings from it's own tail. Afterwards, they were ambushed by a squad of Ya-Grhan infantry. Using cover fire from local defenders, and tactical maneuvering, Artinus was able to pick them off one by one. Reuniting with his Columbia colleagues, he made sure that the local ESPer population had access to the classic tomes on guerilla warfare.
