Ishrani was born in a small village on the Trill homeworld. She was the youngest of three siblings, having an older sister and younger brother. Ishrani let a sheltered life and had little to do with the outside world. | |||
After her education on Trill Ishrani's tutors advised her to go to the academy. Ishrani listened to their advice and applied to the academy, hoping to see what is out there. Ishrani took up medicine as a mayor on the academy and as a result, she became a medical officer. | |||
