+Mateo Penn was born on Jupiter station too Parents Emilio & Anne Penn, He was raised  for most of his life on the station where his parents worked on the production of starships and other projects for the federation & Starfleet. Both his parents were engineers and he followed them in this path right up to when he was signing up to the academy when he decided he didn't want to be an engineer and instead opted to go a different route.
+He joined Starfleet  Academy at the age of 18 and 4 years later emerged as an Ensign with his first posting being the USS Njörðr.
