Although she seemed to be a normal baby girl, her parents quickly suspected that something was wrong due to the fact that she never, ever made a vocalization of any kind. So over the course of a few years, they consulted with countless medical professionals. What they discovered was a rare type of brain defect which prevented Chloe from using her vocal cords at all.
