Now, the First Officer on the [[USS Montreal]] she had first contacted Toryn randomly over subspace when serving as Chief Engineer on the [[USS Veritas]]. Instantly they had a connection, her being half Human, half Al-Leyan. Toryn feel in love with Lael hard and has since frequently professed as such to her. While she also loves him, their vastly differing cultural upbringings have proven too much for Lael to handle and she has since broken off their relationship as well as his heart. They share a strangely unique psionic connection. Enabling them each to visit one another psychically in a psionic realm they both refer to as the Dreamscape. At present, Toryn has no clue why they are linked having never mated, and only met in person once.
