+Shayne's friendship with Brell began as a matter of proximity. They'd served for quite some time, and though Shayne was invariably private, the Bolian was a friendly, gregarious sort. Eventually, a mission to a miserable planet in the Delta Quadrant led to Shayne tending to Brell's phaser-scorched hand. From that point on, Brell was a welcome sight and a semi-frequent house guest. Though he has since taken command of the Starship Atlantis, Shayne hopes to keep in contact with the blue commander.
