The '''StarBase 118 Promenade''' (referred to simply as "The Promenade" by station residents) is a distinct area of the [[StarBase 118 Commercial Sector]].  
'''The Promenade''' is a ring of businesses and services that circle the upper dome. This serves as the first port (and first impression) for most travelers. It is also the most easily accessible area for on duty Starfleet officers and cadet attending StarBase 118's Academy. As such the shops on the Promenade are the most well established, well vetted and are some of the most popular places on the Starbase


The bulbous mid-section of StarBase 118 is referred to as the Commercial Sector or Commercial Dome, umbrella terms for any and all establishments and locations within. However, due to its large size, there are many sub-sections of the dome, one of which is the Promenade.  The Promenade itself is a particularly lively section of the dome that has a number of themed neighborhoods (including "Kronos," "New Orleans," "San Francisco," and "Hong Kong" among others) and a wide variety of facilities including restaurants, bars, theatres, art galleries, gyms, The Bartlet Library of Research and much more.
