'''Engineering Officer's log. SD 239406.12.''' Lieutenant T'Reshik called me... very early this morning, so we met in one of the crew lounges on deck 09. She'd had a strange dream about Taurek and... satellites? She seemed convinced that something of her connection with the alien facility on Leron III had been physiologically imprinted on her, and she brought a drawing she'd done of the images in her that resembled cell glia. If the facility connected to her nervous system through a channel formed by satellite glia, it very well could have left imprints on her cells, so that gave me the idea to attempt a glia transfer into a modified bioneural processor built to accommodate Vulcan cells. If it worked, we might be able to translate some of what T'Reshik "saw" within the system! I sent a message to Wyn asking if he'll help, because neurology is his thing, and it'd be cool to work with him! And then I got to thinking, I'm going to need an actual lab to create this bioneural processor... and I've got so many other ideas after Operation Overclocking, and seeing the alien facility... so I've been working on... some plans. '''Constitution R&D log. SD 239409.09.''' Well, we're in business! The ESPO crew helped me set up my lab today, and I'm officially the Constitution's research and development officer! Main Engineering and Command approved my plan to re-designate a storage space directly above the ESPO... so the crew can still bother me if they feel like climbing up a Jefferies tube. And the space is beautiful, with a gorgeous view of the warp nacelles. Frag's already calling it my "evil laboratory," especially since the first two projects I'm going to be working on are the Vulcan-compatible bioneural processor and the Turing Core. '''Personal log. SD 239409.14.''' Wyn and I... uh... well. We arrived on Starbase 118 safely and we... went to the Sutro Baths, a recreation of a 20th century recreation complex. We swam, I got to see Wyn in a bathing suit... and then I got to see Wyn in less than a bathing suit... I'm actually making this log from a boat floating in the middle of "the lake," the body of water at the centre of the commercial district, we're spending the night on a little houseboat and... well... it's been a pretty big day for me, in a good way! A really, really, REALLY good way. [https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jFBThHJcMuYe6_CvysKFGWAk7M9CZYINcJ5G-KS5UoE/edit?usp=sharing| Part 1]

'''Constitution R&D log. SD 239409.15.''' Well, I presented “Symbiotic Frameworks for Starfleet's Holographic Beings” at the AI & Cybernetics Symposium on Starbase 118 and... it didn't go as terribly as I thought. Wyn gave me a nice little anti-anxiety cocktail, which got me through the hour. And then... the weirdest thing happened. Starbase 118's CSO, Commander Taelon, tracked me down and... well, basically threw my concept for the Turing Core into the fire, doused it in ignition fuel and lit it, rocketing it into the sun. Turns out... he's El-Aurian, so I guess the idea of a sentient spaceship would make him a bit uncomfortable. We talked it out and then he... of all things, agreed to sign onto the project in an advisory capacity, which is incredible. I guess now I just have to move out of the concept phase and start the thing. [https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XOzyExH-MKrRjHxG4sikjoebZsRP1b5OgjyVSpXWzKM/edit?usp=sharing| Part 1]
'''Engineering Officer's log. SD 239409.26.''' You don't often seen Kelpien in Starfleet, but we have one on the Constitution now, in fact, he's part of the ESPO... Lieutenant Berenez received a promotion and, with that, a transfer to a data crunching project on Starbase 104. The transfer of Ensign Paku came through... almost immediately and he's... very passionate about what he does. He's already submitted seventeen risk analyses on the Constitution's computational systems and general structural integrity since this morning. I really hope that's just his backlog, and that he doesn't type that fast... Anyways, we've got the Faust Control Unit installed and ready for Commander Saveron's party. I'm so excited to get Wyn into ''Dungeons & Dragons''! [https://docs.google.com/document/d/1mcj6Os4ajDzqsRy_6WEiha72FeK1P6jSFykqzp06zBs/edit?usp=sharing| Part 1]
'''Personal log. SD 239410.18.''' Well... it's been a tough week or so, but I'm starting to feel like my old self... mostly... I don't even know where to begin... I guess it started when T'Reshik and I were preparing for the glial cell transfer. I was worried about... the very real possibility of her dying, and she suggested an ancient, little known Vulcan technique, the mind meld. If she died, I could pass on a living part of her, her ''katra'', to another Vulcan. I let her, and it was... amazing and terrifying. I was different, I guess I still am different. Then we went into the surgery and it was like I was only half there, or two halves of me were there, in myself and T'Reshik. Everything was going fine, but then Wyn wanted to stop the procedure and a part of me... pushed on, and it hurt T'Reshik. That was the last I remembered for... a long time. Next thing I know I'm laying on a sick bed, like I'm coming out of some deep, dark dream. Wyn was there, and it was bad, but not as bad as it could have been. We're still together. And T'Reshik was okay. And then came the conversation with Commander Saveron and Captain Rajel, and T'Reshik got it a lot worse than me. I've been removed from my duites as office head and R&D specialist aboard the Constitution. I should have got demoted, I should have gotten a court martial for what I did to Wyn and T'Reshik. After a lot of meditation I'm able to remember practically everything... I guess nothing to do now but try to pick up the pieces.
