Jandara was born to Saviano (Father) and Marrana (Mother) Tem in Leran Manev, Trill, the second of three children. Always a precocious and exuberant child she had a natural affinity to ships, vehicles and danger from a young age. When she was 17 she applied to the Starfleet Marines, gaining early entrance. She graduated near the top of her class as a Marine Pilot, at which time she took advanced marine training.
