Teisha is a friendly, outgoing personality who enjoys interacting with people. You can rarely see her without a smile or an approachable mood. She’s easy to talk to and has little trouble putting people at ease. She has an open mind due to her Betazoid heritage and will try many things out just for the experience.
She will not shy away from expressing her opinion and adding her own two cents where needed, within the norms and decorum of the situation. This is a product of the reshaping of her view of the universe due the Dominion War and the occupation of her home planet.
She is as religious as any Betazoid, paying reverence to the Four Deities and the creed of her House. Teisha strongly dislikes and is disturbed by the lack of one’s presence, one’s soul.
Teisha is also very controlled, with strong mental discipline, especially where her abilities are concerned. While she possesses the sensuality of her people, she is not one to openly seek entanglements and liaisons. Her time with non telepaths has helped her discover she likes to gradually get to know people before entering into deeper liaisons with them. She is however not above an occasional one night stand if she is feeling particularly needy physically.

'''Strengths''': Her empathic and telepathic skills are fully developed and under iron clad control. Her parents insisted she receive the best training, considering she is a member of the House of Balance, it would not do for a member of said House to be anything less than fully stabile.
Teisha has strong technical skills, particularly in the areas of sensor and transporter operations as well as communications. She is also a skilled programmer and hacker. Her hardware skills are decent enough but she is by no means an expert. She is also skilled in hand to hand combat, small arms and ground combat.
'''Weaknesses''': Often gets overwhelmed in large crowds of emotionally and mentally charged people, forcing her to put up her mental walls to full strength and often needs to seclude herself somewhere quiet if exposed to such effects for longer periods of time. She can sometimes come over as rude if she’s intercepted or interrupted in her hurry to get somewhere quiet.
In such times, she prefers the minds of animals, which are a lot less chaotic, a lot simpler and they don’t scream at her. Like all Betazoids she is unable to read Ferengi and genetically similar races, Ullians and Dopterians. Though she herself never tried it, it is said that her species cannot read the Breen brain either.
Her piloting skills are moderate at best and apart from basic first aid, she is completely unskilled in the medical fields.
'''Ambitions''': To become an editor of Galactic News Network (GNN) and receive the Betar prize.
'''Hobbies''': Teisha loves to swim and generally keep in shape. She also loves to socialize, talking to people and generally any social activity and event. She has a pet cat, a russian blue female named Mia. The cat is a calm, cuddly, lovable creature who loves to chat, often providing her with the mental respite she needs after a taxing day.

{{Heading|Personal History|Gray}}
Born as the elder child of a well standing family of the Twelfth House, known as the House of Balance, Teisha was expected to follow in her parents footsteps from the earliest days. Having been genetically bonded to the eldest son of a family in the Fourth House, known as House of Poetry, she was expected to enter the circle of scientists and craftsmen and continue the family tradition.
However she had always shown more aptitude towards writing rather than scientific or artful. Begrudgingly her parents recognized her talents and steered her education in that direction. As she entered puberty, her mental abilities began developing during which time she underwent yet more training to learn how to hone on and control her telepathy and empathy. She was on vacations on Earth when the Dominium forces invaded Betazed. Her parents died during the fight to regain control of the planet and since then he lived with his uncles on Earth.
She was gradually learning more about the Federation and other species and found her wanderlust. So, at the age of sixteen, after completing her initial schooling, with very good results, particularly in the literature, she underwent preparatory courses to enter for the prestigious Pennington School of Journalism.
A year later she was due to marry her bondmate whom she had never met before but she dissolved the bond, realizing she would rather choose her own mate than adhere to a choice of compatible genes. This of course didn’t sit well with her uncles and their relationship has been strained since then.
Her collegiate years were spent in academic pursuits and discovering all the mixed social life had to offer, on Earth and beyond. Through freshman year in college Teisha dated Talax Chefrin but broke up a year later. In junior year she joined the soccer team with his best friend Adama. Soccer was fun but it was getting a little dull. She eventually joined the swim team. She had a gift people said. She was good made it all the way to the world finals.
After graduating she spent the next eight years working as stringer for several agencies, to gain experience and to report about natural and social science developments. When Federation announced that they would be returning to Par’Tha expanse she thought it would be his great opportunity to get a full time job.
