The '''USS ''Armstrong-A''''' was a {{c|Constitution}} Refit Class vessel.  Her name pays tribute to the historical [[Armstrong Class]] of vessels that were early expplorers.  The Armstrong-A was well known for being a border patrol ship which fought against the Klingons in the historical battle of Kraxin IV, and later went on to forge peace with the Klingons 8 months after the Khitomer accords when they prevented a rogue Starfleet officer from stealing a Klingon cloaking device.  She was decommissioned in 2320; but became the subject ship of a popular melodramatic holoprogram series entitled "Tales of the Borderzones" by Forsythe Historical Holonovel Productions
