|LOG=AVATAR: Captain's Log Stardate 238110.11. The starship Columbia is set to begin her third mission under my command. The Columbia has been sent to the Valorian system to consider making first contact. One of the primary goals of Starfleet is to seek out new life and new civilizations and that is essentially our mission. Valoria is a world of two very different cultures who have begun to work together to develop interstellar travel. If they are successful, the Federation hopes to extend diplomatic relations. To prepare for first contact I am sending two away teams, one to each country. ::Avatar cleared his throat before continuing, wondering how exactly he was going to word part two.:: AVATAR: The mission is not without complications. We have received word that the starship Constellation lost a shuttlecraft here over one hundred years ago. Cultural contamination is a fear of FCD. Further complications include the psyche of formerly pregnant Lieutenant Anderson and the disciplined actions of Ensign Montgomery.
