When Varaan was assigned as Chief Engineering Officer of the Defiant class {{USS|Triumphant}}, he was assigned quarters on Deck 1. Being a smaller vessel, the available space for crew quarters is at a premium, and the compartments are very spartan. This suited Varaan just fine. | |||
