+Alex was an only child whose parents were both Starfleet officers. He grew up on ships and considers being planetoid for longer than a couple of weeks a punishment. His father was first officer when Alex was born, but by the time Alex had turned 3 his father had achieved the rank of Captain with his own ship. Alex never considered a life outside of Starfleet and went to the academy as soon as he was old enough. He quickly learned that his main interest lay in intelligence and poured all his attention into that, occasionally leaving out a few basics in the process.
