Spotlight on: Jentaris Cloud

Though sometimes considered a single “celestial object”, the [[Jentaris cloud]] is actually a field of hundreds of nebulae and subspace anomalies. Despite a whimsical name, the region is quite dangerous, home to plasma storms, radiation, and ion storms. If you do show up here, it’s not easy to get out, either. Avoiding the many celestial obstacles is made trickier by sensor limitations, shield inoperability, impossibility of communications, and warp field incompatibility.

So why do people come here? Perhaps for some, it’s a “shortcut;” others find it to be a beautiful sight with gold, blue, and vaious other colors swirling about space. If you’re only looking for a way through, you might consider the [[Jentaris corridor]] instead – it’s a bit indirect, but it’s considerably safer! Watch those colors from afar!
