As noted above, this is purely optional. However, feel free to talk about your real self, including what you do for a living, your hobbies, interests, and so-on.

My name is Jamie.  I'm a thirty-something theatrical professional.  I'm a props master, set and lighting designer, with degrees in English, history and theatre.  After spending 10+ years working professional theatre I was suffering some back, neck and health problems and I decided to change fields in mid 2014.  I now work with the GSUSA as a volunteer trainer and coordinator. Funny enough I worked with the Girl Scouts in high school and college running camp programs, so in many ways I feel like my life has come full circle.

I have been writing for Star Trek RPGs since 1997. I found SB118 in 2013, after my longest running sim finally folded.  I have been a longtime fan of roleplaying - both online and tabletop.  I have an impressive collection of over 40 tabletop RPG systems ranging across many different genres.  My two favorites are Burning Wheel and Changeling: the Dreaming.  I loved Changeling so much I used to ST for the white wolf chats, starting with New Bremen and then onto the independent chats for 12 years before I finally ended one 10-year-long epic plotline.

I have been a Trekkie since I was 5, watching TOS with my mom.  We traveled to many Star Trek conventions when I was a kid, and went to the Star Trek experience together when I turned 18. I have met most of the cast in person and loved every minute of it.  Writing came naturally to me since I'm an only child who grew up on a working farm.  So to keep myself busy while doing chores I made up stories in my head and then doodled them on paper in the evenings (because we didn't get cable, yo.  We only got 2 TV channels and they both sucked.)

In my spare time I do lots of things since I dislike being bored.  I train in tae kwon do and jui-jitsu, gaining my black belt in 1996.  I also take yoga and pilates.  I run 5ks and am training for a warrior dash in late fall.  I love canoeing, camping, hiking and bike riding.  When not out and about I also love knitting, crocheting, spinning, and classic video games.  I love cooking and consider myself a 'ghetto foodie' and I garden badly so I can eat fresh veggies.

I live in Wisconsin, USA with two cats and a geeky fiancee.
