She lives in Family Quarters on the Thunder-A, with her partner Maeda and son Ben.  Their living spaces are a mix of their disparate backgrounds.  The furniture is very traditional Japanese in style, and the living areas are liberally decorated with bold-colored artwork.  Ben, is quite messy, and the apartment often is a mess of sticky fingerprints and scattered toys.  Kaji has brought a lot of art, both sculptural and wall art from her home on Rodul.
On the USS Victory, she lives in the Family Quarters on Deck 5, son Ben.  Their living space is very cluttered and vividly decorated. Kaji loves bold colors and prints, so the spaces are crowded with artwork, throw pillows, and children's toys.  Ben is quite messy, and the apartment is often a tornado of sticky fingerprints and crumbs.  Kaji has brought a lot of art from her home on Rodul where it is an important part of the culture.
