Denji's mother was only around for the first few months of his life. He was raised solely by his father. His father owned a popular cafe on the beach front in Sidney. Denji was looked after by a combination of his father, cafe employees, and some of the cafe's regular customers. He lived the beach life, however he also was a very successful student. Denji's father eventually told him about who his mother was and that he was half El-Aurian when he was 15.
