* '''Temperament''': http://www.personalitypage.com/html/INTJ.html (Really does explain Kat's personality rather well.) She is extremely perceptive of her surroundings, and quick to come up with/understand new ideas. She initially, though, can come off as aloof and reserved; she has difficulties expressing her emotional, vulnerable side and doesn't always understand the emotions of others. Just because she doesn't always understand or show her emotions doesn't mean that she does not feel them--Kat, upon making friends, is loyal and supportive, always willing to help wherever she can. She values intelligence over nearly any other trait, especially in herself. Though she's never been 'in love'--she's a bit wary and dismissive of the idea, as a whole--she understands the basic concept.

* '''Mental problems (complexes and phobias)''': Kat absolutely tends to overthink and overanalyze *everything* about a situation. She doesn't really, truly understand proper communication skills--when it comes to things like emotions and impulses--and has been misread as being cold, or a bit of isolationist. She's insecure about many of her own traits, and places a great deal of emphasis on intelligence because of this; it's the one thing that she feels she IS good at. Majoring in anthropology and archaeology while in the Academy, Kat spent more time with dead people and things than she did with the living. She felt more comfortable this way; the dead didn't talk back and get her flustered. Real people are more of a mystery to her than people that have been gone for hundreds of years. As a result, she's become very introverted and wary of others.
