Gunnar spent his childhood like any other Zeon in his peaceful little part of the world. At the age of five, his sister, Alyson, was born and their parents decided their family was complete, especially since their neighbors felt like an extended part. Tragedy struck when Gunnar was seven and Alyson was two, when their father died from some unknown cause. The family became closer knit and slightly more private, and Karn took the role of the man of the house, and became much like a father to Alyson. The children formed a deep relationship that continues to this day, and Gunnar has no end to the adoration he has for her. When Gunnar was sixteen, he met a Starfleet Officer who told him stories of his adventures, and Karn was keen to join. His mother and sister were reluctant to let him go, but knew there would be no way to stop him so they threw in their full support. | |||
