Matoq was born to Jator, a warrior of the Empire, and Khessa, a scientist working for the Imperial Weapons Laboratory. Being and only child, his father was able to give Matoq plenty of attention, and as a result Matoq grew to be a strong warrior. Choosing a less conventional career for a Klingon, he applied to Starfleet Academy, passing the entrance exam on his second try. His father was not exactly understanding of his choice, but his mother, being a scientist, understood her sons need to explore. | |||
