Background & Career History

• Childhood:

Sivah's parents died when she was a baby, and she was raised by her grandfather, Sorev. Her grandfather was a master of Kholinar, and was very harsh and strict with Sivah when raising her. As a result, she has found ways to rebel against him. Her decision to join Starfleet was one of many sources of arguments between her and her grandfather. Her grandfather disapproved of Vulcans serving in Starfleet, which he called a "stew pot of boiling emotions". At first, she attended the Vulcan Science Academy, earning a Master's Degree in Physics. Her grandfather insisted on it, and it was one thing that they have ever really agreed upon.

• Starfleet Academy:

At Starfleet Academy, Sivah continued her scientific education, earning her doctorate in physics, and a bachelor's in Engineering. She graduated with top marks, but not at the top of her class. Something which her grandfather was sorely displeased about. It was during her Academy years that she met Angelica Bishop, who she would eventually marry in a private human ceremony.

• Angelica Bishop:

While during her time at the academy, Sivah went through her first Pon Farr. Angelica was her roommate at the time, and they had become friends. She knew from the start that Angelica was a lesbian. When Sivah began feeling the effects of Pon Farr, Angelica could see how much trouble Sivah was having, but also realized how personal this was. Angelica did her research, and offered Sivah an alternative to help her overcome the Pon Farr. The result was Sivah admitting to being a lesbian and secretly marrying Angelica. However, they still had to deal with Sivah's betrothed. So, they developed a plan for Sivah to be free from her betrothed by using Kal-if-fee. The plan worked, largely due to an error made by Sivah's betrothed. After the kal-if-fee, Sivah and Angelica were caught kissing on the shuttle by Sivah's grandfather. They had a terrible argument and it was the last time Sivah has spoken to her grandfather. Due to Starfleet Regulation, Angelica left the Academy, but has chosen to travel with Sivah when permitted.

Personality

Sivah's parents and her grandfather all walked the path of Kholinar, but only her grandfather achieved the status of Master. After her parents died, Sivah was raised by her grandfather. He was strict and unfeeling, and borderline abusive in his strict adherence to traditions. Sivah has found her ways to rebel against her grandfather. Two of the most blatant acts of rebellion was to join Starfleet and later to marry Angelica Bishop.

Sivah is viewed by her grandfather as being illogical, wild, rebellious, and very emotional. In public, Sivah maintains her logical Vulcan image. However, Angelica often sees the warm, emotional, and loving side when they are alone. Sivah, admittedly, does have a wild streak, which she exercises in very subtle ways. However, due to her grandfather's strict upbringing, she'll often scold herself for her acting on her emotions rather than basing her choices on logic. When she does, she often gets upset at herself for being reminded of her grandfather.

Angelica, in contrast to Sivah, is quiet, shy, and reserved. She has a borderline genius IQ and is often capable of keeping up with Sivah's intellect most of the time. She dropped out from Starfleet Academy when she and Sivah got married, and transferred to civilian university to finish her degree in psychology.
