In mid 2390 Samal had an enlightening moment. He had a dream that he was back on Deep Space 9 during the Dominian War. Samal never told anyone but while in refuge there, Samal was nearly captured. He was tired, hungry, and about ready to give up in order to allow his team to get away. At one point he was visited.
