((I'vish Vulcan Gallery, Starbase 118))

Nomis: I see you are looking for something local. We have two sculptures I believe would complement the other artwork. This piece was made by a Vulcan resident to the starbase, T'losha. It is, as you can see, sculpted from gallicite. To avoid electrocution T'losha had to adopt some unconventional tools to complete her work.

::Sasak rose an eyebrow.::

Sasak: Intriguing.

Nomis: The second piece is more... curious. It is actually by a Romulan artist who hails from just over the border. And yet I think you will find its arrangement satisfyingly logical.

Sasak: Indeed. ::Sasak had been looking for something done by a Vulcan, as were the other pieces of art that he owned; however, he preferred the Romulan sculpture.:: I will take this sculpture.

Nomis: Of course. If you provide me with the location of your quarters I will have the piece sent there at your convenience.

Sasak: My quarters are located on Deck 1041, Section 27-Alpha, Starfleet-style room 19407. You may have it sent there immediately, if that suits your schedule.

Nomis: It is agreeable to meet another Vulcan with such appreciation. I look forward to showing you further pieces in the future.

Sasak: Indeed.

::With the conversation ended, Sasak found his way out of the gallery and began his journey to one of the restaurants on his list.::

((Mini-Timewarp))

((The Mess Hall))

::Kona was having a busy day when another customer walked in -- a Vulcan male in black clothing.::

Kona: Hello. I’m Kona, the owner of The Mess Hall.

Sasak: Greetings.

::Sasak tried to size up the foodstuffs being offered, but did not recognize many of them.::

Sasak: Please. Which of these dishes are completely vegetarian?

::Kona thought about it for a moment: not the Bolian aged meat with his special lemon-ketchup sauce, the bloodwine, or the deep-fried blue Tashmanian spiders.::

Kona: ::Pointing both out as he spoke.:: You can eat the subsidiary course, sautéed azna, and the moba fruit. I can also offer you some red leaf tea.

::Kona offered a friendly smile, in spite of the fact that he knew the Vulcan would not care.::

Sasak: That would be agreeable.

::After Sasak selected his food and was handed his red leaf tea, he made his way to one of the only empty seats.::

((Mini-Timewarp) )

::Neera Tamisit walked into the bustling restaurant not for food, but to talk to Kona.::

Kona: Hello, Neera.

Tamisit: Kona. ::Beat.:: I have something to ask you.

::Since Kona had not yet “made his move,” Neera had decided to ask him out on a date.::

Tamisit: Would you like to go with me to the Blue Sparkler tonight after you close?

Kona: I will say this once, Neera. ::Pause for effect.:: No.

Tamisit: Oh, Kona. It would be fun.

Kona: No.

::There was a line starting to form behind Miss Tamisit and a couple of the customers were starting to stare at the two arguing. Kona knew the only way to get rid of Neera quickly, and quietly, would be to accept her offer. (And maybe he would be able get out of it later...)::

Kona: ::Reluctantly. :: Alright. ::Quietly.:: I will go with you to the Blue Sparkler, tonight, after I close the restaurant.

Tamisit: So I’ll meet you here at 2200?

Kona: Yeah, probably a little after. It takes awhile to get everything cleaned up and ready for the next day.

Tamisit: ::Smiling.:: Thanks. ::Beat.:: I’ll come at 2200 and watch you clean up.

Kona: Yeah…whatever.

::Neera left happy and Kona resumed doing his job.::
