The Dr. Wyrk's Counseling Center has a distinct outer appearance. The inside only modestly better. A very unwelcome feeling sets in right away. Something he uses to his advantage to keep people out to keep his real work hidden from pestering eyes.
There is a single receptionalist, Tomina, an empathetic Batazoid who had her eyeballs tattooed completely black. She knows what's going on behind closed doors and plays her part. It gets her a rather large cut of the profit.
On the door frame there are notches, one for each time Starfleet medical tried to come knocking him down. He was a stubborn one, quite comfortable where he’s placed himself. It makes him both lazy and dangerous.

Back in the day, Wyrk use to be one of the good guys. But he always walked the line with his work. Studying much to hard in past techniques and trying to update them. Shock therapy was shut down for many reasons. As were certain chemicals being injected into the body. Yet the Yridian seemed unwilling to let it go.
Other professionals told him to tread lightly, but the god-like feeling he got from his experiments was like a drug.
Before moving to Starbase 118, Wyrk had been hired by the Cardassian’s as an inside man, responsible for gathering information on their enemies. And he was good at it… His skills at verbal manipulation gained him trust to those who saw him, which led to them saying much more than they should. Which he passed on a little at a time to the highest bidder.
During these events, he came across a Cardassian hybrid. One who had been seeking aid via him. To which Wyrk ignored, leaving Zel to face the wolves, alone. Wyrk wasn’t about to get between Damarkus Omari and his prized pup.

He made himself cozy in the darker part of the massive station. In what was commonly referred to as ‘The dungeon”. For the longest time it was hidden and out of sight. He set up shop right on the edge and luring people in to have a crack at their minds.
With the Cardassians silent for so long, Wyrk found he needed someone to buy the information he’d gathered. Which was much easier done than most cared to think about. So long as their was new information to be had there were always buyers.
The ‘Counseling Center’ is positioned right on the edge of the darkness of the dungeon and the lightness of the rest of the station.
