History
Lucy was assigned to the USS Drake as a young operations officer, and worked primarily as a transporter operator -- and her way to lieutenant, junior grade -- by pulling extra hours, keeping her transporter in the best shape of the ship's available machines, and otherwise impressing the chief of operations, Lieutenant Commander Solok. She was made the ship's chief of communications shortly thereafter and began a working friendship with the Talarian Arthok, who she helped to assimilate into Starfleet culture. Lucy transferred to the USS Mercury after her promotion to full lieutenant after its full mission to the Menthar Corridor was made public; she currently serves as a communication specialist and one of two comms-specific officers, alongside Lieutenant Sen Alaxa. It's Lucy's ambition to also eventually make it as a command officer, and she's recently begun taking on shifts as deck officer.
