When she was 19 years old, visiting her parents during off time at the Academy she met Solek a much older Vulcan diplomat. Her mother insisted on the meeting, saying that Pepper was their daughter and they had to ensue a suitable sponse for her, as was tradition. She didn’t know what to expect was happily surprised. Being stuck in a dorm of gabbing, gossiping girls had brought out a side of her she had never taken notice of before. And that was - boys were cute, and this one was strikingly handsome. But her bubble oblivious personality hide what nerves she felt as she struck up conversation with him. Though it was more of her talking on and on. When he did speak, though, it was to present her with something else to dwell on or to answer a question. Though most questions she asked she was would cut him off by saying something along the lines of never mind, or you don’t have to answer that, and on she would carry.


Pepper would admit to Tra’Son that she did find Solek not only attractive but intellectually stimulating. She would be promised to him on her 20th birthday and married to him when she was 26. She chose to stay in touch with him, her Terran needs of knowing the person she was going to be with for the rest of her life. When she visits they have the best of times. Though she is sure she sees more than others.
