Nuvia lived on Trill with her parents and her younger brother until the age of 18, when she left for other pursuits. Her home is located in a small, rural city on one of Trill's southern continents. The city was surrounded with moderately dense forests, that offered her plenty of hiking opportunity when she was younger. She often would hike out behind her parents' house when she returned home from school before they returned from work. There was a particular hill about half a mile from her home that she was very fond of, and would take her friends to when they came over to her house.
