M'Wash reported for duty as an ensign during a crisis aboard the Starbase 118. As the crisis came into an end, M'Wash witnessed the Tsia's special birth in the starbase's docking bay. As ordered by the captain Rogers, M'Wash carried Tsia back to the main sick bay. M'Wash comforted the infant Tsia initally. At the main sick bay, M'Wash kept an eye on Tsia and stood near Tsia.  Realizing that Tsia didn't have any parent due to special birth, M'Wash volunteered to become Tsia's caretaker on stardate 239101.11. Further medical examination indicated that Tsia was very unique child. M'Wash was promoted to Lt. JG on stardate 2391.27 by captain Rogers during a formal promotion ceremony.

M'Wash was born on Stardate 237207.11 to her parents S'Cehrl and R'Huoo in a Caitian city. She attended local schools as required by law. M'Wash's academic grades were good but not excellent.  Her parents wanted her to attend a university to pursue academic degrees.  M'Wash considered her options, and she decided to become a Starfleet Officer, because she wanted to travel while being a scientist.  She just didn't want to be a scientist.
 
M'Wash studied very hard for Starfleet entrance exam, because only selected few were accepted. Four years ago, M'Wash passed her entrance exam and started attending the Starfleet Academy. M'Wash decided to major in sciences and studied planetary sciences especially geology and meteorology as her science specialties.  She was always interested in other planets that occurred throughout the universe.  She wanted to visit other planets and studied them. After finishing her studies at the Academy, M'Wash participated the required holographic cadet cruise as a graduation requirement.
