Origin

Lathu used to be a proud full Lieutenant, but when his girlfriend was in danger during a Klingon ambush he disobeyed direct orders from his CO and was sure enough demoted to ensign for insubordination. Now, dumped by his girlfriend after her blamed the demotion , is very ashamed of himself. He still yet to understand why his parents adopted him, and now is still trying to find out more about his race and the Cabal.

While his mother was away shopping, his father, Nigel would tell him he knew his parents and how they were pirates and always robbed Starfleet vessels. This put more embarrassment on him and shame. He only wants to make his name/ancestors better and to show his family is not all about robbing.

Ensign Lathu was removed of duty on 238906.21 due to psychological reasons and ordered to be shuttled to DS17 where he would transfer on a ship heading towards Starfleet Medical where he would get the proper treatment.
