Cassandra was born as a twin and the youngest child to the prominent Ezi family. Her Betazoid father was a high ranking politician and ambassador, while her human mother was a psychiatrist. They lived in San Francisco, only a few minutes walk Starfleet Headquarters. Much of her childhood, when she wasn't traveling with her father, was spent exploring Starfleet and learning everything she could about it. At the age of seven she made the decision she would become a Starfleet Captain. From that point in her life she never backed down from that. Her family had other ideas for her but she didn't let that stop her. She worked to graduate early from secondary school and at the age of 17 she was accepted into Starfleet Academy. Throughout the academy she was the top of many of her classes and clearly extremely intelligent. She did however find herself in trouble of few times for challenging authority or working around the rules. She graduated from the academy on Stardate 239206.01 and was then assigned to the USS Doyle.
