Brief Personal History

Emma is the younger of fraternal twins born to her parents on Betazed. Growing up, there was constant protection and tension between her brother (Ian) and herself, as they competed for most everything. As she grew up, her interests lay more in the outdoors and in protecting others, whereas her brother was her complete opposite.

Starfleet provided Emma with the opportunity to continue her exploration of the stars (a love her parents had fostered in her growing up), as well as a way to hone her skills in the art of combat, coupled with learning diplomatic skills.
