There they started a relationship that has lasted through time and space. Different destinations, years, relationships, but they still share that friendship that leaves the uniform behind, one that could make Marcus travel thousands of light years if she needed it.

Those two events, made him know her quite well and he'd developed a feeling of familiarity with her to the point that when he's transferred to the Discovery-C she was the first commanding officer he'd given a hug and considered her a friend for life.
