That's the wonderful thing about crayons. They can take you to more places than a starship. - Guinan

Detailed History

Prologue

Akio Ryan met Umina on the sands of Bondi Beach. They became very close quickly and began a love affair that would last for just short of two years. Umina never told Akio, or anyone else on Earth that she was El-Aurian. The only reason Akio knew something was different about her is due to her pregnancy. It last longer than is normal for a human female. Umina stayed for only a few short months after Denji was born. She left suddenly and without warning. Akio was left to raise their child alone.

Childhood

Denji grew up in the 'Ryan Cafe' on the beaches of Sydney, Australia. There residence was on the second story of the cafe. Denji was the top student in every grade throughout school. His active listening skills combined with his eidetic memory proved usefull throughout his entire education. His father was always there for him, however, Denji was somewhat treated as the cafe's child. He was often looked after, supported, and encouraged by employees and regular customers.
