Personal History

Ciara was born in Ganlook, Estria. Her father was Duke of Trestal Manor and she and her twin brother, Kyllan, were raised as their station demanded. When she was four years old the border raids on their estate began. By the time she was five her father was killed in the third raid and her brother took his place as duke, although their mother stood in his place until he was of age. The following year the twins' uncle arrived from the city to help defend the estate. Kyllan began his training as a warrior although Ciara was rarely allowed to do more than the basics with him. The year after that the village of Trestal was destroyed and the surviving villagers took up residence in the estate's castle with the family until the village could be rebuilt.

When the twins were seven, a messenger came with a message from a neighboring estate and killed the duchess while the twins watched from above. Their uncle took over the running of the estate completely until Kyllan was of age.

The king sent a knight and an outfit of soldiers out to help rid the estate of the raiders.

Ciara and the Knight, Sir Torin, soon became friends and with the new year were betrothed. The fateful battle was just after the midsummer festival when the enemy attacked yet again. It was their wedding day and while they had troops posted, the enemy managed to slip by and into the chapel before they could be stopped. This time, however, the opposing army had brought a magician, for which Trestal was unprepared. In the heated exchange, the magician lost his temper and they were given little time to defend as the magician's arms rose and the glowing arc of light flew from his hand. There was an explosion, the cries of those in the chapel grew silent and darkness fell over the world.

When she woke, she found herself in a bed, surrounded by bright lights and unable to understand the language of these strange people. Later she was provided with a translator and was able to learn that she was on a starship. The commanders listened to her strange story and comparing facts of her world with what they knew , the final conclusion was that her world was in a completely different universe. How and why she had come through was unknown.

Ciara was sent to Earth to be acclimatized gently to the times she had found herself in and to be examined closely by the medical department of the Federation.

She spent a year living with a family of one of the officers who discovered her, on an island just off of Northern Ireland, learning the ways of the worlds around her, Ciara left to do some exploring on her own. She spent a year with the Klingons, learning everything of their fighting skills they had to offer her, before she left, searching again. She spend a year and a half learning fighting skills from any race that possessed any and would be convinced to teach her. It wasn't long before she found the Shiloniy Legionaries and convinced them to let her join them. She spent 10 years with them. Living as they lived, learning what they knew, fighting as they fought Becoming one of them. Nearly 13 years after her arrival into this universe, she finally decided to join Starfleet. They were reluctant, at first to allow her to join, but agreed to test her, and accept her application if she passed. She not only passed all of their examinations, but surpassed their expectations of her learning abilities as well. She was one of the top students when she graduated the Academy 6 years later. She was commissioned on the USS Falcon for her cadet cruise and was soon after promoted to Ensign and started on her career.
