SIM:Bad Feelings and Dead Ends
((Tactical School - Izar))
Pierce decided to pause for a moment from the target practice.
Pierce: Excuse me everybody, I'm just going to get some air.
Ever since he arrived at the Tactical School he had a weird feeling nagging him. It started out as a little voice in the back of his head that he easily brushed aside but as the seconds turned into minutes, he had found it increasingly difficult to block out the feeling; something was out of place, something just wasn't right. One could say that "something was rotten in the state of Izar".
As he placed his rifle back on its place on the wall and reactivated the forcefield, he noticed a man walk past him out of the corner of his eye. He exited the shooting range and observed the man as he walked deeper into the hallway. The man, who Pierce noted as wearing a Starfleet Uniform, walked with a very odd gate. A very cautious, yet...happy? No, that wasn't the right word. He turned a corner and disappeared from Vincent's line of sight.
Pierce looked back through the window into the shooting range and saw that the three people he had left in there were still talking. Vincent turned his head back to the now empty corner, that same feeling he had earlier screamed at him to investigate further and so, with mixed emotions, he walked down the hall after the officer. He turned a corner to find the entrance to a turbolift. He stopped in his tracks and considered entering into the turbolift when the doors hissed open and out walked a tall man with four pips on his collar.
Pierce: Captain
Pierce acknowledged the Captain and as the Captain passed him, he turned his head to follow; it was the same man that he saw before. After all, a Captain's uniform was an easy all-access pass to into a Starfleet Installation.:: oOVincent, what the bloody hell are you talking about? He's a bloody Captain not a suspect of a crime.Oo ::A woman in a Starfleet uniform exited the turbolift as well, a Petty Officer, judging by her rank insignia.
Pierce: Petty Officer ::Vincent spoke quietly.:: To where does that turbolift lead?
P.O.: Ummm...Lecture halls, labs, holosuites, the armoury, the -
The Petty Officer was interrupted by Pierce.
Pierce: Sorry, did you say the armoury?
The P.O. nodded in response.
Pierce: Very good, thank you P.O.
Pierce went down to the armoury, not knowing what he would expect to find there. He exited the turbolift and saw at the centre of the room was a desk clerk.
Guard: Can I help you, Lieutenant?
Pierce looked around uncomfortably.
Pierce: I think you can. What is beyond that door?
Pierce pointed towards the door to the left of the clerk's desk.
Guard: The armoury, Level 9 clearance is requried for access.
Pierce nodded, he didn't have level 9 clearance, so it seemed as though his little "investigation" ended here. But there was still the Captain...
Pierce: A few minutes ago another officer came by, a Captain, who was he?
Guard: Captain Neil Tyson. Is there a reason for these questions, Lieutenant?
Pierce shook his head and entered back into the turbolift.
Pierce: No, that will be all, thank you.
The doors shut and the turbolift went up to the main floor. Pierce stood contemplating whether he was becoming unhealthily paranoid, or just following his Intelligence training.
