Michael was born and grew up in the village of Corleone, Sicily.

He is a master tactician and well versed in many marital arts specialising in Muay Thai. He still has the samurai sword given to him by his father and keeps in with pride.

Due to his skills and ability, Michael was hired by the Vulcan High Command to become a trainee bodyguard at the age of 16. He was never academically inclined and thought this was the best option for him. By the time he was 18, he was in the elite group of bodyguards, the "Alpha prime group", one of five bodyguards.

After an incident during a negotiation, Michael was implicated in threatening and kidnapping a diplomat. Michael never justified his reasons for doing so, but he believed he was right. He was sentenced to 3 months solitary confinement on a correctional facility on Vulcan.

By the time he was 19, he had joined Starfleet Academy and has since become a very accomplished pilot, one of the most naturally gifted, according to his flight instructor.

On the verge of graduation, Michael has become a man of honour and respect. He will always protect those weaker. His convictions are strong and will never waiver in his decisions. His short lived career as an elite bodyguard and Starfleet training has given him the perfect knowledge to become an excellent security/tactical officer.

On the other hand, he can lose his temper quite easily and finds it difficult to control his rage at times which has got him in trouble with the authorities on a few occasions. He does not particularly enjoy Engineering and he just scraped through the class. He doesn't like being told what to do all the time and can sometimes have a problem with authority.

On the lighter side, he is a very easy going individual who never says no to fun and games. At times, he can be a little too easy going and this has gotten him into some trouble at Starfleet and women. He loves creating holodeck programs and is a noted champion on the racquetball arena.

Michael has learnt to look out for himself from a very young age and he hates situations where he must rely on others. He gets along extremely well with his parents and will speak them at least once a week and will try to visit home whenever he can.

His talents are exceptional and is courted by a host of alliances for his services. The Vulcans were lucky enough to get him for a short period of time and now he is willing to commit to Starfleet.

Notes

Was captured in 2377 by The elite Romulan intelligence agency, the Tal Shiar and was tortured for 4 days before he was rescued. He has a large scar on the back of his shoulder where an electronic chip was placed to torture Michael.
