Lieutenant Allan Thomas was the leader of a five person science team that was assigned to XB3 in 2370. The Science team left Deep Space 17 in a modified runabout which crased on arrival. Lt Thomas sent a distress call, but the call was not recieved until 2385, when the USS Tiger was sent to investigate.
