Chief King, the Senior Master Chief Petty Officer in the Achilles' Engine Room, is a gruff older man who doesn't take much of anything from anyone. He does his job with a high level of competance and a good amount of grit. He is based on 'The Sergeant', played by Lee Marvin, from the film The Big Red One.
