Welcome -- we were expecting you!
These pages have one main goal: educate simmers in how to sim properly with telepathic or/and empathic characters. We also provide information about telepathy and empathy to enhance the understanding of Readers. This facilitates understanding the mysteries, down-sides, rules, and behaviors of these characters.
Who are Readers?
A readers is any character who has telepathic and/or empathic abilities. Many ships counselors are readers, for example.
Guild Membership
Anyone may read our pages, although the Readers Guild membership consists entirely of writers who play reading characters.
Projects
The group is working on the creating an In Character simming arena involving, among other things, a political group called "SCEPTRE". Use the links on the sidebar to learn more information.
In Character or Out of Character?
The Readers Guild, just like the Guild of Vulcans and the Lambda Alliance, is an OOC creation with the goal of providing a creative development area for those who write characters that fit guild parameters. The Readers Guild also provides a Free-form Simming area which is In Character, on the Readers Guild list. Alternatively, OOC chat for this guild takes place on the separate Readers Guild list.
While simming in the IC area, you are welcome to create character-driven organization that represent Readers, but keep in mind that the "Readers Guild" is not an In Character group. Groups like SCEPTRE, or The Heliotropic Institute are In Character.
