Robinson was skeptical when Thompson first announced her ambitious plan to bring thousands of refugees to Ketar (at the time, seeming like a welcome answer to years of population loss for the colony). For Robinson, the program was implemented too quickly without proper time for the refugees to fully assimilate into the new culture of both the Federation and Ketar and the Shoals in particular. Although he doesn't advocate for kicking the refugees out of Ketar like some of the worst xenophobes that have cropped up recently, he seeks to suspend the program and is generally expected to challenge Governor Thompson for her position in next year's election.
