With the discovery of a stable Wormhole as well as an M-Class planet well suited for life and agriculture, New Bajor was established in 2370. In 2371, all colonists were eradicated by the Dominion during the prelude to the Dominion War, and the planet was ignored in favour of dealing with the impending threat. After the end of the war and the subsequent addition of Bajor into the Federation, eyes once more turned to the planet as a colony. A wave of Bajoran colonists arrived in 2388, determined to make this their new home.
