Glav Jaonn is currently a cadet, preparing to begin her career in Starfleet.

Stats

  • Full Name: Glav Jaonn
  • Race: Tellarite
  • Date of Birth: 236109.11
  • Place of Birth: Tellar Prime
  • Age: 34
  • Gender: Female
  • Telepathic status: 0

Appearance

  • Height: 1.21 meters
  • Weight: 203 pounds
  • Hair Color: Blonde
  • Length of Hair: Reaches small of back.
  • Eye Color: Green
  • Skin Tone: Tan, tinged with darker spots.
  • Birthmarks, Scars: Long scar running up entire left side of body.
  • Build: Squat, but more lithe than is customary for her species.
  • Face: Piggish but oddly charming.
  • Eyes: Usable.
  • Mouth: Big
  • Arms: Short, occasionally problematically so.
  • Legs: Short, often problematically so.
  • Carriage: Waddles slightly, but can put on an impressive amount of speed for short periods should the situation call for it.
  • Poses (Hands/Gestures, Feet/Legs, Torso/Head): Nothing distinguishing or unusual. Her wide stance and shorter stature can make sitting, standing, and lying down for any period of time profoundly uncomfortable.
  • Taste in Clothing (when off duty): Loose fitting robes and shawls.
  • Shoes: Standard issue boots- nothing more, nothing less.
  • Voice: Soft by choice, hard by design, and rather nasal.
  • Handedness: Right, though depending on how much she cares about you, surgery might be attempted with the left.

Manner

  • Quarters: Small, but light. A mud bath is the most promenant feature. There are few things Glav enjoys more than a detrimentally long soak in a tub of muck.
  • Favorite Room: Anywhere there are civil debates to be had.
  • Habits: None of any substance.
  • Mannerisms: None. Indeed, at one time she did have both habits and mannerisms, but such things were a favorite topic of attack on Tellar. She often lacked the will to engage in barbed dueling with her peers, and so made herself as inconspicous as possible for the sake of her own peace of mind.
  • Religion/Spiritual Devotion: Beyond a passing affection for the Hippocratic Oath, nothing substantial.
  • Hobbies and Pastimes: An avid reader, it's rare to catch her without her nose buried in a book. Tellar, until recently, still held a variety of predjudices against the women of the species, including shunning the idea that females should be (or could be) literate. To honor those that fought relentlessly for their right to not be harrassed while enjoying literature, Glav reads almost ceaselessly.
  • Likes: Civilized discussion, mud, various tubers, reading, healing.
  • Dislikes: Tellarites, arguing, the Borg, pain, smartalecks and people refusing to share information with their doctor.
  • Ambitions and Goals: To heal the universe, one irritating patient at a time.
  • Achievements in Life: Despite earning her medical degree, she's always been proud of her acheivements on the side, such as learning to helm a starship and repair a variety of systems aboard a vessel.
  • Disappointments in Life: Every patient she wasn't able to help- over a career as long as hers, the list is depressingly long.
  • Temperment: Gruff, irate, grumpy, but with a heart of gold. The moment she learns that anything, physical or mental, is ailing a person, she will stop at nothing to help them in any way she can. That often means putting aside her normally foul manner and bringing out the genuine healer within her- and it is then that people see just how tender a person she can be.
  • Mental problems (complexes and phobias): An unabashed despisement of the Jem'hadar. As a member of the Federation Peace Corps, and as a doctor, she saw first hand the brutality they inflicted on innocent Federation citizens. Though she firmly believes in the ideals of the Federation, her hatred for that particular group is deep, and unlikely to be sated before her death.
  • Physical Limitations: She's... a Tellarite, in an interplanetary alliance filled primarily by humanoids of rather more height. Physical limitations indeed.

Family

  • Marital Status: Single
  • Parents
    • Father: Ghurn Jaonn
    • Mother: Dush Xense

Personal History

235709.11: Born 236908.11: Began displaying intense aptitude and proficiency in medical matters. 237201.01: Joined Federation Peace Corp 237301.31: Began participation in relief efforts for Dominion War casualties 238003.21: Offered position as civilian consultant for Federation hospital on Deneva II. 239501.01: Began pursuing career in Starfleet.

Glav was never a particularly argumentative person, and this (somewhat unfortunate) trait left her seeking an escape from an early age. She knew that medicine was her calling in life, and she prepared to pursue a career in that field. However, the Dominion War quickly through several wrenches in her plans. Instead of staying in school, she joined the Federation Peace Corps, and began to treat wounded personnel. After the war's end, she was offered a position in a civilian hospital, which she happily accepted; however, she quickly grew bored. Shortly after this, she enrolled in Starfleet, and though she is certainly one of the older cadets, she is glad simply for the opportunity.
