The Skarbek and its crew have made a dramatic, atmospheric warp escape from Outpost Schulman, a small community in the Demilitarised Zone that they considered something of a home. The outpost has been razed by Cardassian forces, who appear to be after a prisoner that the Maquis had been holding there -- a Starfleet intelligence officer.
