::Paetra went to his bedroom closet, and pushed the button hidden at the top of the door to open a secret compartment. Reaching in, he withdrew the neatly pressed ceremonial clothing of the Coven, and laid then across the bed. He smiled as he looked at the them as it always made him feel important to wear the black formal suit, white shirt and the distinctive crimson cape with the high red collar intricately embroidered with gold threads::

::Paetra could easily be deemed the most powerful Fielding in the Coven. Although there were other members with who possessed stronger Fielding abilities, he had the gift of eloquence, which by in large, could sway opponents to take his position by sheer explanation.::

::After he had dressed, he made a quick check in the mirror to make sure every tuck and seam was perfectly in place, then went to the kitchen pantry and press yet another button opening the door to the secret subterranean cave system that led him to the Coven Chambers.::

::The rest of the Coven members were already assembled on the suspended platform with in the cave cell. When he arrived, they convened at the octagon shaped table made of amber glass. Above them hung a large golden Til?hon Emblem, their symbol of commitment to Til?hon and the Laudean people.::

::Each Coven assembly is presided over by a different member in turn. This meeting Paetra had the honor.::

Paetra: ::looking at the other seven Fieldings:: Your Graces, please be seated.

::After everyone had seated he began the order of business::

Paetra: The first item on the agenda is Caki, the son of Rakin and Soroi Rahi. The boy is now two years old, and is already showing signs of a tremendous Fielding power. Although he is younger than most of the children who have appointed Fieldings, I feel that we have a duty to appoint an advanced Fielding for him now, so that he will have the training he needs to control his powers before he reaches his teens. What say you?

::As was commonplace with the Coven, they nodded their affirmative votes.::

Paetra: I also propose that since Rakin and Soroi have produce a daughter two months ago, that she be monitored closely. Further, considering Caki?s powers, this couple should be encouraged to produce as many children possible for the future population sake. What say you?

::Again the vote was unanimous::

Paetra: So be it.

Paetra: ::smiles:: I am happy to report that the new system of Fielding midwives is working well. The midwives are stationed at the hospitals and are in daily contact with all the pending birth mothers. I believe this system of appointment will serve us better than the old one-on-one basis we were using.

His Grace Saki: Yes, Your Grace. It was a well-thought plan. I think I speak for us all in saying we all are appreciative of your efforts on this project.

Paetra: ::trying to sound modest:: Thank You, Your Grace.

Paetra: This is all I have on the Fielding Appointments. Does anyone have any other concern or suggestion on this subject?

::Negative response::

Paetra: That brings us to the Elections. ::pauses a moment to collect his thoughts:: Tomorrow we embark on phase one of our plan to replace Prime Minister Zrong with a Coven member. As the Coven member chosen, I am honored by this designation, and will do everything in my power to serve the Coven well as a candidate.

His Grace Saki: We have every confidence in you, and will support you with our powers. ::The rest of the Coven nodded their agreement.::

Paetra: Today I was approached by a faction who shares our resolve that the Coven should have more say in Governmental Affairs. They have pledged their support also, with their vote, their deeds, and financially so the election funding will not come out of our coffers.

::Paetra's revelation met with great enthusiasm, as he knew it would.::

Paetra: If there is no more discussion on this matter, I will close it by saying that I will submit my petition tomorrow at 0900 hours. Your attendance will be greatly appreciated.

:: Paetra had one last item, but the less said about it the better as it had been a source of disagreement between the Coven members. His inkling was not to mention it at all, but it was agreed that the project would have to be updated at every meeting since it was so controversial.::

Paetra: Lastly, Phase Two has been initiated. We should have the results before the elections.:: Paetra did not open the subject for discussion, and quickly closed the Coven meeting.
